• Staff has been busy today preparing plans for remote learning and meal distribution.    They will be on campus again on Tuesday, March 17th, finalizing these plans.

Based upon their work, we have some preliminary information to share.

    Meals

Tomorrow, we will have breakfast and lunch pickup for all Lexington Four students at the same three locations with a small time change for breakfast.

Breakfast will be available for pickup from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM.

Lunch will be available for pickup from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

Meals are available in the front offices of Frances Mack Intermediate School, the Early Childhood Center, and Swansea High Freshman Academy.

Transportation will be contacting the families of bus riders to coordinate delivery of meals which are scheduled to begin on Wednesday.  More details about distribution of meals via buses will be published tomorrow.

    Remote Learning Plans

For grades 1 through 12, teachers are developing paper packets with activities for students to complete from now through the week of March 30th.   Packets are to be returned when students return to school.

Packets will be distributed to bus riders through the meal distribution routes on Wednesday.    Students who are normally car riders will be able to pick-up their packets from school on Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Student work during these two weeks may be accomplished without access to technology.

Families with 3K and 4K students will be contacted by their teacher to discuss work plans for these students.   5K students will receive their packets in the mail.

Teachers at all grade levels will be available during office hours starting on Wednesday.   Information about office hours will be included in tomorrow's update.

Again tomorrow, students and parents may pick up medications and any other personal items students may need between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM tomorrow.

As a reminder, all after school programs, athletics practices and games, school events, field trips, and all other activities are canceled until further notice.

Also, the district has established a central point for all district Coronavirus information at https://www.lex4.org/covid19.  A link is posted at the top of the district page.
